11:24-- =paps=: As I watch you go past whilst I'm stuck in the sand!!! :S
6:48-- =paps=: Woot!!...I think I've the ol'Bentley locked down this time! see you all in my mirrors!! :P
6:24-- =FIELDZY=: Race day all
3:19-- =UleeDeway=: Difficult to give a review at this point, but I did a couple of stages last night and it is ... different for sure. It felt more difficult, and perhaps more realistic, but does need some tinkering I think to make it feel even better. Dare I say it is an improvement on the original. I think my new PC may have something to do with that though, so not sure it is a fair fight. Both the original and the new are tons of fun though, so at 50%, it is definitely worth it.
23:35-- GBarnier: No decision on a headset yet, so many models and reviews are mixed :S
23:33-- GBarnier: Waiting for your verdict Ulee ...
8:34-- =paps=: :P
8:06-- =UleeDeway=: done
6:03-- =paps=: Oh maybe Mine wasn't a PRelease..I think I got a day or two after....hmm early onset coming on!:S
5:56-- =paps=: But mine being a pre-release version, I may have scored a couple of extra things. :D
5:55-- =paps=: it's cheap! I payed nearly $100 for mine. O.O
5:54-- =paps=: Order the DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Edition and receive:
- Porsche 911 RGT Rally Spec
- Upgraded 'My Team' starter cars
- x5 Early vehicle unlocks added to your team garage

The DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Edition also includes:
DiRT Season I:
x3 tracks
x5 cars
In-Game Bonuses
High reward events

DiRT Season II:
x3 tracks
x5 cars
In-Game Bonuses
High reward events
2:04-- =UleeDeway=: I'm sure Paps can give us the low down on DR. Isn't he a paid salesman of theirs?
2:03-- =UleeDeway=: I got mine for a steal. Around $100 here in Japan years ago. Best bargain I have found to date!!! never seen another set though.
1:54-- GBarnier: Thanks Ulee, those headsets are available at $399.
1:53-- GBarnier: Doesn’t say which extra cars/tracks you get with the deluxe edition?
0:47-- GBarnier: Criky, seems like it’s just the basic game with heaps of paid DLC to complete the game.
0:43-- =UleeDeway=: How good is it Paps?
0:40-- GBarnier: Still not enough? :P
0:10-- =UleeDeway=: «link»
0:09-- =UleeDeway=: Did I see that Dirt Rally 2 is now 50% off!?!?
15:02-- =UleeDeway=: I've tried several and by far my favorites are the beyerdynamic MMX300. May be pretty difficult to find though as they are getting old. Use them everyday, and for a few years already. Had to replace the pads last year though.
12:43-- GBarnier: Any recommendations for a new headset with mic (wireless or wired)?
5:03-- =UleeDeway=: Most Excellent
0:09-- Bill Kilowatts: (solved) with the change in hardware I did recently the 'rfm' files went missing(??) reinstalled yesterday...last night.... this morning :P all good now :D
21:18-- =paps=: :P
16:23-- Bill Kilowatts: yes Aussie been through that, I have to learn tracks some how Papsy, or try out some so I can make suggestions :D
8:24-- =paps=: *thumbsup*
8:17-- =FIELDZY=: I have put Zandvoort up for GT3. See what you all think.
6:46-- =paps=: Single player???... who does that??...wouldn't even know what button to klick to make it work!! :S
5:03-- Boldaussie: Have you selected all cars and tracks?
3:07-- Bill Kilowatts: is anyone else having a problem with r2 single player? only loads race mods we have done before???
11:47-- =Rat=: ill be baaaack soon!
2:11-- =paps=: lol @ Bill
13:07-- Bill Kilowatts: Doing my thing and trying to be tidy in race 2 ;) might be a hold up but at least I'm not a chicane :P , pitted just got going server crashed... oh dear... heard the missus on Skype... If you use the Bentley don't change the rear tyres to medium you get kick from game. I have let the modders know of the problem.

After the wash-out of Round 1 @ Watkins Glen, the cars have been shipped down the road to Mid Ohio in the USA. Everyone eager to get some track time under their belt, and have hopefully used their testing time to iron out all their bugs, Round 2 is bound to pop better than a champagne bottle!

At this stage there is a server password, as their is a patch for the GT3 cars that has not yet been publicly released. We've been asked to not have this publicly accessible. The server password is: ksrxr

This will remain on the server until Apex Modding has released the update publicly and given us the greenlight to remove it.

You do realise you don't have to be logged in to see that, anyone can see it?

Well the racing finally kicked off in this GT3 Championship, and after quick repairs the cars have been sent across the world to the exciting circuit of Zandvoort. A challenging circuit that offers a bit of everything, it will be sure to keep all the drivers on their toes and will test every fine detail in the vehicle and driver combination.

Due to the server issues we experienced in Round 2, we have another server we will be trialling on Sunday night (if problems persist). This server has a higher data rate, so fingers crossed there won't be any further issues. If issues do persist, the field will be capped to 24 drivers - this will be taken from qualifying results. We will attempt to race with all who attend first and foremost, and will only apply the car limit if absolutely necessary. Practise during the week will still be available on the xFactor server, with LiveRacers keeping tabs on how much time you need to find!

Race Night Schedule:
6:00pm AEDT/8:00pm NZDT - Official Practise
6:50pm AEDT/8:50pm NZDT - Drivers Briefing
7:00pm AEDT/9:00pm NZDT - Qualifying
7:20pm AEDT/9:20pm NZDT - Racing Commences

Race Night Format:
Qualifying - 15 minutes, private session
Race 1 - 13 Laps, No Compulsory Pit Stop (CPS)
Race 2 - 28 Laps, 1x Compulsory Pit Stop (CPS). Minimum of 2x Tyres replaced. Pit Window is between Lap 3 and Lap 26

This is from the first post.
Quote:Numbers: This depends a lot on our server capability, but I feel around 32 is the max number before we may start having issues on server-side (this number could also change based on grid spots/pit stalls on each track). I feel each community will get an x amount of reserved driver spots (obviously depends on how many wish to be involved), but for example if there is 4 communities, each community has 6 reserved spots for drivers (making 24), then the remaining 8 spots can be open to anyone. How we delegate those whether its through qualifying times, first come first served basis, to be discussed. I don't want to qualify for each race as I like to start at the back of the field. This is until I get a feel for other drivers I haven't race with before.

After a challenging test in Germany, the GT3 cars are shipped back home for the familiar scenery of Australia's streets of Adelaide. Taking to the streets of Adelaide will be a welcome return to a known track, whilst providing the challenge that a street circuit provides of having no room for error. With competition tight all the way throughout the pack, the Adelaide round could prove pivotal in the overall standings.

Watkins Glen was originally planned as the series opener, but after some unexpected troubles with the circuit the round had to be postponed. As a result, it has now been switched out to be the season finale! With lots of drivers putting a lot of practise in early in the series at Watkins, it should make for a very tightly contested final round. Especially, if looking at the weather forecast, its forecasted as "5'C with FREEZING RAIN." So yes, there is a high chance of some weather at the finale of the series!
