The Dream Pack update includes aerodynamics changes which make the mod cars stop working in game.
To fix this for many modded cars you can edit one simple text file. Go to the modded car folder of your choice and look for a folder called data.
**For some cars this information is hidden inside an acd file and you won't be able to edit- you will have to wait for the author to update their mod.


Steam/SteamLibrary/SteamApps/common/assetto corsa/content/cars/modded car/data

Find the file called 'aero.ini'

Open the file with Windows Notepad.
You will see a line of text which is marked by a [DATA]tag.
Delete that whole line of text, but leave the other sections (like [WING_0] and the other sections) as they are.
Save the file.

Trophy Truck is possible? :woohoo:

I have good news for you trophy truck lovers. They are very much possible. I have a roughed up setup for the suspension which works good enough to make for a base if anyone wanted to work on it. I initially had some issues getting the new live axle working on it, but with many tweaks all round, it pretty much functions as it should. Once I've dialed in the suspension travel, I'll release the files so anyone that wants to work from it can.
Here you go. It has problems at high speeds and is far from dialed in, but all the base work is done. I did have a partial model on it before to help line up the suspension, but I've removed it and replaced the formula_k model.

IT's ALIVE!...
Trophy Trucks for Assetto Corsa

Like I mentioned above, This thread at the AC forums was posted over 6months ago!..thread title .. 'Trophy truck is possible?'
The thread had gone stale and has very little activity until the last couple of weeks when a few guys came along and revived it, one a modeler, and the other two working on physics.
So with the threads original poster no where to be seen these guys have pretty well modelled, imported all physical data they could find and tweaked this thing along the way to produce this...

These guys have thanklessly donated there time to a project that was nothing more than a simple question from a member on the forums, and have all now taken on the challenge to get this type of car working on the AC platform, I applaud them there efforts and willingness to contribute to something that was pretty well not even thought possible until 2 weeks ago.
This is one of those project I imagine a Kunos' dev looking at, shaking his head in joyful disbelieve :D

This project is progressing quickly at the moment...so here's a few updated pics and a short video [by me] of rear suspension issues that need to be solved.

Remember this is a rwd closed skeleton Truck, so this is the internal paneling that has been added in these pics, and there will be a body over this.. just as there is in the rF version




The video Is showing how the the rear susp travel is not coping with turn in, and so the inside rear lifts on corner entry causing the truck to be unstable. Ignore that the susp animation it's not functioning as it has not been modeled as of yet.
